What is post-traumatic stress disorder?

Post-traumatic stress disorder aka PTSD is a mental health condition that’s triggered by a terrifying event that is either experienced or witnessed.

PTSD may last for months or even years as triggers can bring back memories it is a very serious mental health disorder that is not talked about enough.

 

What are the symptoms?

Following are only a few common symptoms everyone may have different types of symptoms on different levels.

1. Fear of a person or place

2. Anhedonia

3. Depression

4. Anxiety

5. Insomnia

6. Isolation

You did not deserve what happened to you it’s not your fault <3

 

Coping mechanisms

PTSD is a challenging one to cope with the best that you can do to help yourself is to give it some time to move on.

1. Love yourself first

2. Learn from the situation

3. Meditation

4. Get in tune with your feelings

5. Talk to someone about how you feel

Professional help can be very helpful in any given situation.
